Virbac is a global animal health company that is passionate about improving the health and well-being of animals. Founded in 1968 in France, Virbac has grown to become a leading player in the animal health industry, with a presence in over 100 countries worldwide.

They offer a wide range of veterinary pharmaceutical products and services that cover a variety of species, including dogs, cats, livestock, and other farm animals. Virbac’s products are designed to prevent and treat a variety of conditions, from dental care for dogs to flea treatments for cats, and solutions for larger animals as well.

Challenge

Virbac Thailand and Petcare

Petcare is relatively affordable and widespread in Thailand, with pet hospitals in abundance, it’s easy for pet owners to get the right care for their fuzzy friends whenever they are in need. Virbac products have been available in Thailand for quite some time; through pet hospitals, pet supply stores, and on e-commerce platforms. However, Virbac in Thailand did not sell directly to consumers, which is a big market in Thailand especially in e-commerce. Virbac also did not have much awareness in the eyes of general consumers, with only those in the pet clinic circles being aware of it, which was also a big problem if they wanted to sell products directly to consumers.

This is when Virbac approached us to provide them with a custom e-commerce activation service, as well as digital marketing services and content creation. We had to start from scratch, but we took the challenge head-on.

Solution

We hatched a plan, with the first step being building awareness to the brand and what it had to offer consumers. With awareness campaigns with the “Virbac Everyday Care” messaging on Facebook and Instagram, we were able to get the brand name and products in front of millions of people.

Once awareness was created, it was time to create a place where consumers could easily buy the products. Prior to approaching us, Virbac did not have any e-commerce channels. We were able to bring them to a successful e-Store launch on Lazada; complete with storefront design, product listings, and individual product descriptions for each product skew (SKU). In addition to this, we also provided them with digital marketing services on platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google (Display Ads, Shopping Ads) which lead potential consumers directly to the storefront where they could buy the petcare products directly. The sales of Virbac to consumers exploded with the launch of the Virbac Official LazMall store, putting the product into Thai pet loving consumers’ hands all over the country.

Our content is also used in Virbac’s marketing in Vietnam, the Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Myanmar.
